Around 3:30 Saturday morning (Aug 12), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of W. Broadway for a subject-check. A computer check of the suspect, 24-year old Megan M. Schnieders, of Independence, revealed an active FTA warrant from Henry County for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Schnieders was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $1,000.


At about 9:45 Friday night (Aug 11), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near S. Limit and W. Broadway for moving and equipment violations. According to the report, the driver, 23-year old Atticus McLaughlin Salazar, was intoxicated. Salazar was arrested for DWI and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $533.50.


Around 9:45 Thursday night (Aug 10), Sedalia Police were dispatched to an apartment building in the 300 block of E. 2nd Street for a report of property damage. According to the report, the caller initially believed the upstairs tenant had broken a hole through the floor. Upon arrival, officers determined the hole was caused by a gunshot. Police made contact with the upstairs tenant, 22-year old Benjamin Michael Mullen-Forsman. The report indicates that Forsman admitted to accidentally firing his pistol, while attempting to take it apart. Forsman was allegedly intoxicated at the time. Sedalia Police arrested Forsman and transported him to the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
