On Monday (Oct 23), Sedalia Police took a report of stealing that allegedly occurred  at W&M Welding, located at 202 S. Industrial Drive. According to the report, a complainant told officers that sometime on Sunday, someone climbed the fence and went through the shop yard, taking keys from some of the vehicles. At this time, there is no further information.


On Monday (Oct 23), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a green Chevrolet Impala for no-registration. According to the police report, the driver had an FTA warrant from Sedalia (no insurance). The driver, 48-year old Carlos Newbill, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $50.00.


On October 18, 2017, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of E. 5th Street for a reported disturbance. The report indicates that as officers were on the way to the scene, dispatch advised that a suspect vehicle left the area. Further investigation revealed three subjects had been involved in a fight, but a primary aggressor could not be determined. Police say all three subjects had minor injuries. There was no further information listed in the report.
