Sedalia Police Dept. Crime Reports for the Evening of March 19

Just after 8:00 Friday morning (Mar 16), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area Benitz Service Company, located at 2927 Clinton Road, for a report of a stolen vehicle. According to the report, a white van had been stolen sometime overnight from the front the of the business. The van contained trade tools and materials. Some leads have been developed but no further details were available in the report.

On Friday (Mar 16), Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1100 block of E. 13th Street. The victim told officers that she drove a 2011 Chevy Equinox to a daycare center. The victim was inside the building for approximately 2 minutes and when she returned, the vehicle was gone. Later in the day, the vehicle was located unattended in the area of E. 9th Street and S. Madison Ave. According to the report, three items and assorted change were missing. The value of the missing items was placed at approximately $140. There are no suspects.
