Police reports for June 15, 2016

On Monday at 11:07 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to a report of a non-breather at a private residence on East 16th where the victim was found in a recliner. PCAD and Sedalia Fire personnel attempted life-saving efforts on the subject, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pettis County Coroner was contacted and the victim was taken to Ewing Funeral Home.

On June 14, Sedalia Police took a report of a hit-and run accident that occurred at 1418 South Ohio involving a 2009 Chrysler Sebring that had moderate damage to the rear passenger door.

Sonny L. Bradford, III, 27, Warsaw, was arrested by Sedalia Police at Bothwell Regional Health Center after he created a disturbance and refused to leave Monday night. An officer was already on the scene taking a report when the incident occurred. Bradford was transported to the Pettis County Jail, and charged with trespassing and a $283.50 bond.

Police took an identity theft report on Monday from a woman who says she received a letter from Discover, explaining that her card was going to be terminated. But she never had an account with them.

Police took an assault report in the 200 block of South Missouri on Monday involving two known suspects who allegedly assaulted a female, then fled the area.

On Monday, Police arrested Sara M. Bix, 35, Sedalia, on a Failure to Appear misdemeanor after a traffic stop at Broadway and Monroe. She had two active warrants and was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 bond, cash or surety with a court date of July 26.

Police took a report of a theft of two bags of items valued at $193 from a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of E. 9th on Monday.

Jessie E. Paredes, Jr., 36, Sedalia, was arrested at 16th and Washington Monday evening after a traffic stop. He was found to be driving while suspended or revoked. Paredes was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail with a court date of July 13.

Police took a report of someone placing nails in the driveway of the doctor's parking lot at Bothwell Regional Health Center on Monday. Video surveillance of the area showed a man dropping nails as he walked next to the driveway at 8:36 a.m. on June 11. There was no damage to any tires reported.

Police took a report of a burglary at 418 E. 5th on Tuesday. Stolen were several tools and a dehumidifier, collectively valued at $300. The suspect apparently used a back-door key to gain access to the residence. There was no forced entry.

On Tuesday, Police took a report of a burglary that occurred on Tuesday between 5:30 and 11:30 a.m. At 1812 S. Sneed. Suspect(s) apparently entered through a rear window and took items collectively valued at $1,025.

On Tuesday, Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle parked at 908 E. 13th on Sunday. Taken were a pair of Beats headphones valued at $400.

Kevin O'Brien, 53, Sedalia, was arrested for assault after an incident at Coaches Bar, 303 S. Lamine, late Tuesday night. O'Brien was issued a court summons for July 20.
