Sedalia Police were called to the 400 block of E. 7th Street Thursday morning at 7:26 a.m. on a non-breathing victim. When police arrived the subject was checked for signs of life, but there was no pulse. PCAD and Sedalia also responded to the apartment. The Pettis County Coroner pronounced the subject dead at the scene. The body was transported to Heckart Funeral Home.

A decorative piano located at the Katy Depot, 600 E. Third, was damaged sometime between Monday and Friday. Damage estimate was set at $250. There are no suspects.

On Wednesday around noon in the 800 block of E. Fifth, a man told police someone cut the brake lines on his 1998 Buick Century, then spit in his face and attempted to fight him. The subject then fled on foot before police arrived. Charges are being sought for Second Degree Assault and Second Degree Property Damage. No arrests have been made at the time of the report, however.

Gregory A. Bierschbach, 39, was issued a Municipal summons for possession of marijuana after police stopped the car he was in for running a stop sign at Broadway and Brown. The car was stopped at 10th and Marvin. A court date of July 13 was set.

A man reported the theft of a license plate WK8-S5K from his vehicle while parked at Enterprise, 2409 W. Broadway, between Monday and Thursday.

A man reported damage to his back door in the 1200 block of S. Lamine Thursday. The rental property was not occupied at the time of the incident.

And Pettis County deputies arrested Kyle Richards Thursday on an outstanding Pettis County warrant in the 2500 block of E. Ninth.
