Sedalia Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in front of Dairy Queen on Tuesday night shortly before 10 p.m. Dallas A. Chewning of Ionia, driving a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, was southbound in the turn lane waiting to turn into the business. The driver of a Mack Truck, Wayne D. Weter of Ozark, told police the Cobalt turned about 30 feet in front of him and he had no time to brake or swerve to avoid a collision. The Cobalt was truck in the passenger side and knocked to the curb on the west side of the highway. The driver of the Cobalt told police she turned her head to look at a police car that had pulled someone else over, and when she turned her head back towards the roadway, the car was hit by the semi. The driver of the truck suffered a bump to his head. He was examined by PCAD, but refused transport. The driver of the Cobalt suffered chest and leg injuries and the passenger suffered knee, neck and chest injuries. Both of them were transported to BRHC by PCAD.

Santiago Hernandez, 24, of the 1100 block of E. Broadway, was arrested on Monday for the alleged theft of several pair of sunglasses at Lenscrafters, 1400 S. Limit, Suite 75, on May 4. He was being held on a 24-hour charge pending the filing of charges.

On Tuesday, Tammy M. Litovchenko, 23, of the 2700 block of South Lafayette, was arrested for the theft of $32 of merchandise from Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin Ave. She allegedly left the store with items without paying for them. She was issued a Municipal Summons for Stealing and a court date of July 13.

On Monday, Kelsey M. Brown, 19, of the 4200 block of West Main, was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin Ave., after she allegedly left with two items worth $44 without paying. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date of July 6.

Enrique D. Mitchell, 26, of the 300 block of W. Sixth, was arrested for stealing a pack of cigarettes from 619 North Ohio (Dollar General). He was later located and issued a Municipal Summons.

On Tuesday, Dylan M. Landon, 28, homeless, was arrested after allegedly stealing $18.73 worth of goods from Woods Supermarket, 701 E. Broadway. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of charges.

A subject reported the theft of $10 and a gas cap from his van whlie parked at his residence in the 700 block of South Garfield. There are no suspects.

Gabrielle Lynee Jordan, 19, of the 3600 block of South Kentucky, was arrested on a Loud Noise complaint Tuesday after police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of E. Seventh. The subject allegedly yelled profanities at other people after being told by police to stop. Jordan was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $533.50 bond and a July 6 court date.

Kent Leroy Cline, Jr., of the 400 block of W. Fourth, was arrested during a sobriety checkpoint conducted Friday night at 12th and Winchester. He was charged with Driving While Suspended or Revoked. A court date is yet to be determined.

Brandon Anthony Carlock, 31, 1000 block of E. Ninth, was arrested Tuesday morning for Driving While Suspended or Revoked at Ninth and Engineer. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.
