Sedalia Police Morning Crime Reports For December 12, 2014
Local business reports a theft Tuesday morning
Just before 10 Tuesday morning (Dec. 9), Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from the owner of W&M Welding at 202 Industrial Drive. According to the victim several items were missing from the business since approximately September of 2014. Following an investigation, officers arrested 60-year-old David Ronald Wheeler of Sedalia and transported him to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending felony stealing charges.
Sedalia Police arrest a man during a traffic stop Wednesday morning
At 7:38 Wednesday morning (Dec. 10), Sedalia Police observed a vehicle with expired registration at 5th and Lafayette. Following a traffic stop the suspect was found to have a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. Police arrested 31-year-old Travis D. Christian of Sedalia and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending a $2500 bond.
Walmart reports the theft of a TV and a Laptop Computer Wednesday night
Around 9 Wednesday night (Dec. 10), Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from an employee of the Walmart store. According to the complainant suspects left the store with a TV and a Laptop Computer without paying for them. The suspect had not been located at news time.
Flower pot reported stolen in the 2000 block of East 7th
Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 10), a female victim in the 2000 block of East 7th reported thieves stole a 22” black flower pot from the entrance of her driveway. The victim said the thief or thieves dumped out the rocks and dirt before taking the pot.
