Sedalia Police Officer, and Other Emergency Responders Give CPR to a Premature Baby This (Friday) Morning
Just before 6am this (Friday) morning the Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of East 11th on a baby at the residence who was born prematurely. Upon arrival a woman came out of the bathroom holding the child. Sedalia Police Officer, Derrick DeSalme reportedly gave the baby CPR until the Sedalia Fire Personnel, and Pettis County Ambulance District arrived to take over. According to the mother of the child she was 6-months pregnant, and the baby came out in the bathroom. The baby was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, and then was flown to Columbia for further care. There was no other information on the baby at news time.
