According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, just after 6:00 Friday morning (Oct 7), Detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit, the Criminal Investigations Bureau, and Sedalia patrol officers, served a no-knock drug related search warrant at 900 Westwood Avenue. A 1-year old child was also present, at the residence.

Contact was made with one female subject and one male subject.

A search of the residence revealed the subjects were in possession of high grade marijuana, two different types of controlled pills, drug paraphernalia, and additional evidence to indicate marijuana distribution. Two guns were also located. According to the report, one of the firearms was an SKS styled rifle and the other was a handgun with a defaced serial number.

Officers arrested both subjects and transported them to the Pettis County Jail.

18-year old Zechariah K. Hoskins Ellis is being held, pending charges of:

-Possession Of A Controlled Substance – Carisoprodol (Felony)
-Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Substance – Marijuana
-Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession Of A Defaced Firearm
-Unlawful Use Of A Weapon
-2nd Degree Endangering The Welfare Of A Child

Pettis County Jail

 

19-year old Keiasha M. Jackson is being held, pending charges of:

 

-Possession Of Marijuana (Felony)
-Possession Of A Controlled Substance – Xanax (Felony)
-Possession Of A Controlled Substance – Carisoprodol (Felony)
-Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Substance – Marijuana
-Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
-2nd Degree Endangering The Welfare Of A Child

At the conclusion of that warrant investigation, Sedalia officers then responded to 1317 South Carr Avenue to serve another drug related search warrant. Upon entry into the residence a male subject was located hiding in the bathroom and taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence revealed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and additional evidence to indicate marijuana distribution. The investigation also revealed the male subject was hiding in the bathroom in an attempt to destroy evidence at the time of entry into the home. The male subject was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.
