SPD crime reports 5-12-17

Sedalia Police responded to a report of a male lying unconscious on the front steps of house in the 500 block of Sunset Drive at 7:18 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses told officers said he took a quantity of unknown medications. He was later transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.


 

At midnight Friday morning, Brandon K. Vogan reported an assault that occurred in the 1200 block of S. Lafayette. According to the report, the victim had a laceration on his left cheek, but refused medical treatment. The suspects left the area in a white Dodge truck, the report added.


 

Cricket Wireless, 3040 W. Broadway, reported the theft of an iPhone valued at $769.99 from the store on Thursday afternoon just after 3 p.m. The suspect was a male who concealed the phone on his person and left the store with it.


 

BreakTime, 808 E. Broadway, reported that a suspect used a counterfeit $20 bill to make a $3.38 purchase at the store on Wednesday. Management supplied police with video surveillance footage of the suspect. SPD took the fake bill into evidence. The suspect was not yet located at the time of the report.


 

Woods Supermarket, 701 E. Broadway, reported that a suspect opened two items, concealed them on his person and walked out of the store shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The items were valued at $14.98. Suspect info was provided to Sedalia Police.


 

Jan R. Patton reported a hit-and-run involving her vehicle on Thursday. The report stated that the rear passenger side of her car was damaged while parked in the 2400 block of W. Broadway. The suspect had not yet been ID'd at the time of the report.


 

On Thursday night around 10:45 p.m., Jennifer Lea Hammond, Sedalia, reported to Sedalia Police that her white 1995 Chevy Camaro was stolen from the 900 block of S. Kentucky at her apartment building. The report added that the keys were left in the vehicle.


 

And on Friday morning, Pettis County deputies responded to a unit at 24050 Highway 765 to take a report from Stephanie Henderson. She stated that she awoke around 6:30 a.m. after hearing her bedroom door creek. It was later discovered that $28 was missing, as was a five-gallon can of gas. The report said the victim knows the suspect.
