Saturday evening, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at East 17thand South Lafayette for disobeying a stop sign. Sedalia Police saw the driver try and hide something in the car and police searched the vehicle. Sedalia Police found the juvenile was in possession of approximately 16 grams of marijuana, a handgun, and packaging materials that indicated the subject was distributing the substance. The subject was taken into custody and turned over into the juvenile office.

Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police went to the 1000 Block of South Ohio to check on the well being of a dauchsand that had been left out since Saturday without food, water, or shelter. SedaliaPolice made contact withthe owners, who claimed they did not see anything wrong with leaving a dog out without food. The dog was not up to date with a rabies vaccine and did not have a city license. Jessaray Merriott was arrested for animal abuse, bond set at $131.50 cash/surety.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was assaulted in Housal Park on May 3rd.

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the Queen City Diamonds on Highway TT in reference to property damage.  The reporting person told deputies that large rocks had been used to damage the concession stand and one of the ball field dugout between May 3rd and 6th.

A man in the 2000 Block of East 9threported to Sedalia Police that someone stole property from his garage between April 24th and May 5th.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that damage was done to an aluminum screen door in the 1800 Block of South Beacon between May 4th and 6th.

A woman in the 200 Block of South Grand reported to Sedalia Police that someone used her information to obtain an AT&T account and did not pay for it.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from the Temp Stop at 4575 South Limit, that someone stole lotto tickets.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that her purse was either lost or stolen while at the Dollar General at 713 East Broadway on Saturday.

Sedalia Police arrested Anthony Schlueter for a Pettis County warrant for failure to appear on a felony bond set $100,000 cash/surety.

SedaliaPolice arrested Hyacinth Rasmussen for driving while intoxicated.
