Here's your Wednesday morning crime report for Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

In a story that has been going on since May 2, Sedalia Police went to the 200 Block of South Moniteau in reference to a physical domestic situation. When Sedalia Police arrived, a man barricaded himself in the home. Sedalia Police forced entry and Jared Sanders was arrested for domestic assault in the 3rd, resisting arrest, and felonious restraint. While he was in custody an ex parte was placed on him and yesterday he was found trying to get back into the house. When Sedalia Police were in route they saw him running to the 200 Block of South Harrison and into a residence. Sanders was arrested. He tried to slip his handcuffs and had to be placed into a WRAP unit. Sanders was arrested for violation of ex-parte and resisting arrest.

There were two cases of copper theft reported to Sedalia Police. A woman in the 700 Block of East Broadway reported she was remodeling the home and found the basement flooded. Copper tubing was found to be cut and removed from the home and there were $5,000 in damages done between May 2nd and 15th.

A landlord reported to Sedalia Police that a home in the 900 Block of East 14th had former tenants who tore holes in the walls and removed copper wiring. Outlets were found to be torn out, along with portions of drywall and insulation from the wiring was covering the floors.

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 100 Block of North Olive Street in reference to a burglary in progress yesterday morning. The victim stated that two men came on to her property and tried to remove items from her garage. According to witnesses both subjects left the scene prior to Deputies arrival without removing any property. The subjects were identified and the investigation is still on going.

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to Highway W in Smithton as a woman reported that her mailbox was damaged on Tuesday morning.

A dog was found running loose in Liberty Park on Monday afternoon. Sedalia Police found the dog and took it to the shelter. State charges of animal abuse will be requested for the owner of the dog.

Sedalia Police arrested Robert Carter for possession and distribution of a controlled substance, manufacturing of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police arrested Latara Buckner for identity theft and a Pettis County warrant for larceny.

Sedalia Police arrested Michael Dowell for driving while revoked.
