Yesterday afternoon, Sedalia Police received a report that a male suspect, armed with a knife, had raped a woman near the Katy Trail in the 2300 Block of Clinton Road. A subsequent investigation revealed the suspect as 43-year old Ronald Greer.  At 9:49 last night, Greer was located in the Centennial Park. Greer fled on foot and was caught in a nearby field and placed under arrest. Greer also had an active warrant for a parole violation. Greer was transported to the Pettis County Jail and held without bond for a parole violation warrant. Charges of rape, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and stalking are being sought for Greer.

Yesterday afternoon, Sedalia Police was called in reference to a 21-year old woman having taken an unknown amount of muscle relaxants. The caller said that he called Sedalia Police as she took the pills. The woman was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center without incident.

A woman in the 400 Block of East Boonville reported to Sedalia Police that she has been receiving phonecalls from a winnings company. The suspects threatened her over the phone numerous times.

A man in the 1100 Block of South Harding reported to Sedalia Police that a white 1999 Pontiac Trans-Am was stolen between 9 p.m. on June 10 and 8 a.m. on June 11.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he helped a friend of his by co-endorsing a check that was issued to his friend. After providing his friend with the check amount of $2,500, he was informed by the bank that the check had been returned as an invalid check.

A woman from Lincoln reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into her vehicle and took some items while parked in the 100 Block of East 4th between 3 and 11 last night.

A woman in the 900 Block of East 11th reported to Sedalia Police that over $100 in items were stolen from the car last night.

Bob's Auto Shack at 4004 South Limit reported to Sedalia Police that his company has been supplying tired to another business for twenty-eight years. The complainants said that the other company never received over $9,000 in tires in February.

JC Penny reported to Sedalia Police that a white male stole three pairs of shoes, valued at $115.

The Salvation Army at 601 South Ohio reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a kettle pot that was on the counter, with $50 to $100 inside it.

Sedalia Police arrested Rebecca Malcuit for a Saline County warrant, bond set at $1,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Damien Surber for stealing, shoplifting, and having a Carroll County warrant, bond set at $931.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Tina Bailey and Stormy Battles for stealing from WalMart. Bailey's bond was set at $531.50

Sedalia Police arrested Gwenda Smith for failure to appear out of Morgan County for littering.
