A Sedalia man was arrested for Identity Theft late Thursday night. Anthony L. Coleman, 21, was arrested after Sedalia Police responded to McAnally Court on a warrant check. Coleman was seen getting into a vehicle upon arrival. Police detained Coleman for questioning and he gave them a false name, but was later arrested after police positively identified him. Coleman had six active warrants – three from Johnson County on Failure to Appear with a total bond of $675, two from Pettis County for stealing and burglary with a total bond of $8,500 and one from Sedalia Municipal for Failure to Appear on a traffic offense with an $85.50 bond. Coleman was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges for Identity Theft.

Tiffany Suzanne Epp, 40, was arrested early Friday morning around 2 a.m. after police responded to a verbal disturbance in the area. A computer check revealed she had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Sedalia. She was also charged with resisting arrest. Epp has a court date of May 18 with a $622 bond cash or surety.

Sedalia Police responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of Buckner Court Friday around 2:30 a.m. The victim stated that a female suspect entered her home and began pushing her, attempting to remove the victim from her home. The victim reported lower back pain as a result of the incident. Charges on the suspect are being sent to the Municipal prosecutor for review.

Police arrested Raymond Casillas, Jr., 26, after a traffic stop at 32nd and Limit revealed a Failure to Appear and Driving While Suspended or Revoked. Bond was set at $150 with a court date of May 18. State charges are pending.

Alyson N. Patrick report damage to her 2002 Dodge Durango while it was parked in the ER parking lot, 601 E. 14th, Wednesday evening.

Casey's, 1601 E. Broadway, reported a drive-off on Thursday around 1 p.m. An off-duty Pettis County deputy followed the car to Smithton where the driver was asked to return to the store and talk with Sedalia Police officers. Casey's requested charges be filed, while the suspect requested he speak with his attorney before making a statement. Charges were sent to the Pettis County prosecutor for review.

Two hit-and run accidents were reported to police Thursday. One occurred near Broadway and Kentucky around 4:13 p.m. When the victim, Kimberlie E. Windle of Sedalia slowed to allow another driver to pull into Breaktime, 318 W. Broadway, when another driver behind her failed to stop and struck her rear bumper, and left the scene without exchanging information. No video was available of the incident. The other hit-and-run occurred near 10th and Engineer when a vehicle backed into the victim's car and left the area Thursday around 10 a.m.

Police arrested Mark W. Pate, 55, near Center and E. Ninth Thursday at 10:31 a.m. A computer check revealed Pate was wanted to for Parole Violation through the Sedalia Probation and Parole Office. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked.

On Wednesday, a citizen turned in a Wal-Mart Valued Customer Visa Debit Card that was found near 16th and New York. There was no name on the card, the report said.

And an 18-year-old woman was arrested at Dollar General, 619 N. Ohio, Thursday. Helen M. Semande of East Seventh was seen by police leaving the store with a large bag. The officer could see the bag was filled with several packages. When asked to return to the store to chat about it, Semande confessed to taking $36.90 worth of merchandise from the store without paying. She was issued a citation for shoplifting and advised not to return to the store.
