Sedalia Police were dispatched to W. 3rd St. and S. Quincy Avenue at 9:35 p.m. on February 9 on a report of a suspicious person in the roadway. Upon arrival, police found 59-year-old Charles E. Roden, and said that he was in possession of meth and related paraphernalia. Roden was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.

Then on Friday, February 10, Pettis County deputies responded to the Pettis County Jail in reference to an arson. Charles Roden had additional charges of Arson in jail confinement and 2nd Degree Assault on Law Enforcement.


Around 5 a.m. on February 9, a traffic stop was conducted on a black Honda passenger car when it disobeyed a stop sign at S. Missouri Ave. and W. 3rd St. Police say an investigation of the driver revealed that he used more than one identity and had a revoked driver's license. 39-year-old Juan Romero Ubaldo of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.
