Sedalia Police reports 1-18-18

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Justin T. Peel at Probation and Parole, 205 Thompson Road, on a Carroll County warrant Wednesday afternoon. Peel was taken to the Pettis County jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. His court date is to be announced.


 

On Wednesday morning at 6:46 a.m., Sheila Lassiter reported a hit-and-run accident that occurred to her vehicle that was parked in the 2400 block of Killon Drive. According to the report, heavy damage was sustained to the entire left front side, rendering the car undriveable. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 6:40 a.m. Wednesday. The dollar amount of damage is unknown.


 

On Wednesday morning Shannon Jackson reported a hit-and-run accident that occurred to his 2000 Ford just before 8 a.m. According to a report, Jackson was northbound on Limit when he had to stop for traffic in front of him. He was then struck from behind by another vehicle, which then fled the scene. Jackson's Ford had damage to the rear bumper. The suspect had not been identified.


 

On Wednesday evening, Kevin Woolery reported finding two bicycles and fireworks left in the middle of the road near 17th and Grand. According to a report, Woolery heard yelling earlier in the area. The bikes were collected and placed into found property.


 

On Wednesday, someone turned in a set of keys to the SPD. It was a 1 ½ inch key ring with four keys, found in the middle of the road on Kentucky just outside the SPD.
