Police reports for July 11, 2016

On Saturday morning, Sedalia Police arrested a Lincoln man on seven charges after the stolen vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped near Saline and Mill. Douglas Wayne Atwood, 31, lied about his identity to police, but was later found to have three active arrest warrants out of Benton, Pettis and Stone counties. Atwood was charged with two counts of drug violations, two counts of Failure to Appear-misdemeanor, one count of Failure to Appear-felony, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of Identity Theft. Benton County is also seeking charges against Atwood. Bond was set at $1500. Timothy A. Wood, 38, Sedalia was the driver in the incident and was arrested for Driving While Suspended or Revoked and possession of methamphetamine. Wood was transported to the Pettis/Benton County line and released to Lincoln PD.

A three-vehicle crash that occurred at Broadway and Limit caused one injury Sunday afternoon. The driver, from Prairie Home, told police he was eating lunch and taking a drink and didn't notice the brake lights on the vehicle in front of him. He struck that vehicle, pushing it into a third vehicle. The second driver complained of shoulder pain, but refused medical attention.

Magdelena Villarreal, 37, Sedalia, was issued a court summons for having Vicious Animals after two boxers owned by Villarreal, attacked a man, who was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Villarreal has a court date of Aug. 3.

Clayton Jack French, 17, Brookfield, was arrested during a civil standby in the 2300 block of Dennis Road on a Linn County warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $500 bond and an Aug. 4 court date in Linneus.

Liborio F. Waldo, 26, Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending sobriety following a a suspicious person report. He was found parked in a yard at 1004 E. 11th and allegedly intoxicated. He repeatedly tried to leave when questioned by police.

Kyle Nicholas Richards, 31, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Appear-felony, after Sedalia Police investigated a hit-and-run accident at 1200 Prospect Saturday evening. Witnesses identified Richards and his vehicle and he was later transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Leovigildo Marcoslazaro, 34, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended or Revoked after a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation at 16th and Osage. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date of Aug. 17. Bond was set at $533.50, cash or surety.

Gary Charlie Brown, Sr., Sedalia, was charged with 1st degree trespassing after he refused to leave Bothwell Regional Health Center during a disturbance Saturday night. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date to be announced.

Timothy Lee Davis, 39, homeless, was arrested for no bike lights or reflectors and failure to obey or resisting arrest after a subject check at 9th and Montgomery. He eluded police on foot for a time, but was later apprehended and taken to Pettis County Jail with a court date of Sept. 4. Bond was set at $617.

Lachelle Rene Flores, 33, Sedalia, was arrested near Limit and Plaza Sunday morning around 8 a.m. for Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Failure to Register with the DOR and Failure to Appear-misdemeanor. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date of July 19. Bond was set at $1,750.

Cristian Ivan Gonzalez-Jara, 23, was issued a Municipal Summons for Animals Running at Large June 29. He has a court date of Aug. 3.

Shelbie D. Greer, 31, was arrested for assault after Sedalia Police reponded to a disturbance at JC Penney. Greer left the scene before police arrived, but was later stopped in the 3800 block of South Limit and issued a Municipal Summons.

Jimmy D. Hineman, 30, Sedalia, was arrested for Animals Attacking or Biting after his pit bull allegedly attacked and killed a cat. He has a court date of Aug. 3.

Michael Williams, 29, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant after he failed to return rental property and a probation violation for non-support of a child. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 bond. A court date will be determined later.

Police investigated a two-vehicle accident that occurred at Broadway and Industrial Saturday. The driver said her brakes failed when she tried to stop in the turn lane and hit another car.

Police responded to an out-of-control patient Friday morning in the Emergency Department. The subject allegedly ripped a dry erase board from the wall, damaged a thermostat cover, a blood pressure cuff and a TV, causing $655 of damage. State charges are being sought against the subject.

Sean S. Burke, 45, homeless, was arrested for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons after police conducted a building check at PCA Storage, 315 E. 17th. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $90.50 bond and court date of Aug. 3.

Treston Dontrell Clay, 22, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear-misdemeanor after a traffic stop at Main and Park. He had an active Wentzville warrant. He now has a court date of Aug. 9. Bond was set at $300.

Police took a report of a deceased person at 850 Brentwood Avenue on Thursday night around 9:45 p.m. PCAD performed CPR on the individual, but to no avail. The Pettis County Coroner later pronounced the subject dead on the scene.

Alvin Odell Brown, Jr., homeless, was arrested for 1st degree trespassing at Wood's Express, 703 E. Broadway. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Aimee M. Burton, 37, Concordia, was arrested after a traffic stop near 16th and New York Friday afternoon. The driver was traveling 40 mph in a 20mph zone. Burton was a passenger in the vehicle and was wanted on a Probation and Parole warrant out of Jeff City. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Melissa A. Duke, 51, homeless, was arrested for stealing and possession of synthetic drugs (Demerol and Methado). Police say she was found walking in the roadway near Broadway and Massachusetts. A search revealed she was in possession of a Schedule 4 controlled substance. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Leslie R. Houston, 32, was arrested near 16th and Madison late Saturday night after police responded to a traffic complaint about a driver driving erractically and speeding. The Chevy was stopped by Pettis County deputies and arrested for Driving While Revoked and ID theft after she lied about her identity. Sedalia Police arrested her for Driving While Intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold with a court date to be announced.

Francisco Quezecua Alejo, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for DWI-prior offender, Driving While Suspended or Revoked and 2nd Degree Assault with Vehicular Injury after an accident in which Alejo was found to be intoxicated. Alejo was transported to the Pettis County Jail. The other driver complained of head injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by family members.

Police took a theft report at 1:33 a.m. Sunday at 1112 Ware Ave. The victim said someone broke the side passenger window in his truck and stole a wallet with $55 in cash and ID cards. There are no suspects in the case.

David Kopp reported a theft from his storage shed in the 700 block of E. 17th on Sunday. Taken were tools and electronics valued at $485. There is a potential suspect in the case.

Police took a report of two stolen license plates from a 1999 Dodge Avenger parked behind 235 S. Prospect on Sunday. License # is CL6-V2C. There are no suspects.

Police took a report of a hit-and-run that occurred at El Tapatio, 3000 S. Limit, around 8:24 Thursday night. The incident caused $700 of damage to the complainant's car.

Police took a found pink Huffy bike into evidence Friday from the 500 block of E. 15th.

Police took a license plate into evidence Friday that was found near 3rd and Lamine.
