Sedalia Police reports for July 18, 2016

Sedalia Police arrested Kardena P. Shevchenko, 17, Pettis County, was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin, on Saturday, after she left the store without paying for a $52 anklet (jewelry).

Melvin Leon Ward, Jr., 33, Sedalia, was arrested for violation of an ex parte and Driving While Suspended or Revoked after police responded to a domestic disturbance on Sunday. Ward was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges.

Police took a report of damage to a table on a backyard porch and theft of a weed eater in the 1500 block of Honeysuckle on Sunday. The suspect caused $100 of damage to the table and the weed eater was valued at $220.

Police took a theft report in the 300 block of S. Quincy Sunday morning. The complainant said a woman known to her son came into his room and stole $550 worth of items on Saturday between 8:30 and 9 p.m. The suspect had not been located at the time of the report.

Police took a theft report of three bicycles on Saturday morning. Taken were two 26-inch Roadmaster mountain bikes and one Next mountain bike.

Police took a theft report of a $200 bike that was parked outside 2302 W. Broadway on Sunday. The theft occurred while the juvenile was inside for several minutes.

Casey's General Store, 3050 S. Limit, reported a $10 gas drive-off on at 8:47 a.m. Saturday. The suspect vehicle was a late 80s white pickup with a large camper shell that left southbound on Limit.

A wheelchair was found in the backyard of a vacant residence at 602 S. Washington Sunday. The wheelchair was placed into found property.

A baby stroller was found Sunday at 7th and Moniteau. The stroller was placed into found property.
