Sedalia Police reports 7-27-16

On Tuesday, at 6:02 p.m., Danielle Diane Ketcher, 22, Sedalia, was arrested in the 2000 block of Marvin on a felony trespassing charge by Sedalia Police. According to the report, Ketcher, who is homeless, responded to a trespassing call and was issued a trespassing warning and told to leave. A short time later, police were called back because she was still in the immediate area. In the meantime, a Saline County warrant was issued for her arrest. Ketcher was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond. The original charge was Felony Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia. She has a court date of Aug. 8.

Demetrius D. Chambers, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear-Felony while at the Pettis County Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, on Tuesday morning. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $10,000 bond, cash or surety.

Merle Allen Piers, 24, Kansas City, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of S. Missouri and charged with 2nd and 3rd Degree Domestic Assault after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance there. Piers allegedly tried to hit his wife with a car and also assaulted his mother-in-law. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Police took a theft report on Tuesday morning. Taken from a vehicle overnight were two cameras, a camera bag and accessories, collectively valued at $965. Prior to the report being made, police made contact with three juveniles in the 1800 block of S. Beacon. A search revealed the cameras, bag and accessories. All three could not remember where they obtained the camera equipment. All three were taken into custody.

On Tuesday, Achieve Heating and Cooling, 2506 W. Main, reported a motor stolen out of an air-conditioning unit behind the business overnight. The motor was valued at $250. A suspect was not identified at the time of the report.

A Sedalia women reported a theft from her car while parked her in her driveway overnight Monday. Taken were a change jar containing $50, a green iPad worth $150 and two white Apple headphones.

Marquise Damond Martin, 26, Sedalia, was arrested at North Grand and Martin Luther King Drive on Sunday afternoon after being stopped for expired plates. He was charged with Driving While Suspended. Martin was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a court date of Sept. 14.

Melissa K. Grose, 44, Sedalia, was arrested Tuesday at 1:54 a.m. for Melissa K. Grose, 44, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons on an original charge of Possession of a Dangerous Non-narcotic Drug after police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 1100 block of Harding. Grose admitted she had the pills on her person, the report said. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond and a court date of Aug. 24.

Police took a property damage report in the 1200 block of S. Washington on Tuesday. Suspect(s) broke several windows at the residence with a cinder block, the report said.

Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of W. 5th involving a 1999 Chevy from the backyard, which happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday. There is a suspect in the case, the report noted.

Police took a report of a stolen bike from the 700 block of E. Broadway on Tuesday night. Taken was a burgandy and silver Next Power K bicycle, valued at $120. A suspect vehicle was reported as a green SUV with a white male and a small child. The male allegedly loaded up the bike and drove off with it.

Clayton T. Mock, 37, Camdenton, was arrested for DWI-prior offender after he was discovered passed out in someone else's car at Jiffy Stop, 1722 W. Broadway, just after midnight on Tuesday. Mock's SUV was parked on the opposite side of the business with the motor running. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Police took a report involving bullets and money found in the 1100 block of State Fair Boulevard on Tuesday night. The items were placed into evidence, the report said.
