Sedalia Police arrested Mary R. Nandho, 42, of the 100 block of E. Saline, early Tuesday morning after a traffic stop for running a red light at Seventh and Engineer. She was charged with Driving Without a License (suspended or revoked). She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $533.50 bond cash or surety. A court date of June 15 was set.

Jeremy L. Maupin, 39, of the 1300 block of E. Boonville, was arrested for Failure to Appear on Monday on a Sedalia Municipal warrant. Bond was set at $88.50 with a court date of June 1.

MFA Agri Services, 2200 Clinton Road, reported spray-painted graffiti on one of its buildings Monday morning. There was an estimate of $100 to clean up the graffiti. There are no suspects in the case.

A KCP&L utility pole was apparently damaged by a hit-and-run vehicle early Monday morning near Third and Thompson. There are no suspects in the case.

Daniel R. Strunk, 53, of the 600 block of E. Ninth, was arrested for shoplifting at the Sedalia Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, after store security observed Strunk allegedly concealing items in his backpack, then leaving the store without paying. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Joe A. Portilla Ortega, 36, of the 4200 block of West Main, was arrested for having an open container of alcohol during a sobriety checkpoint operation near 12th and Winchester late Friday night. An officer noticed the container while writing a ticket to the driver.

A complainant reported a busted rear driver side window to his SUV on Monday. Estimate to fix the damage was set at $300.

Julia Ann Lefevers, 41, homeless, was arrested near Wal-Mart Friday on a Pettis County warrant. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $4,500.

Police recovered an abandoned BMX bicycle at Centennial Park Monday. The bike was placed into found property for safe keeping.

Amie Nicole Allen, 43, of the 1700 block of S. Grand, was arrested Monday night for Driving while Suspended or Revoked and on a Failure to Appear summons after a traffic stop near 16th and Limit for driving without headlights. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $533.50 bond, cash or surety with a court date of June 15.

Someone reported the theft of an Arizona license plate on May 23.

On Monday, Sedalia Police arrested James Arvid Johnson, 70, of the 22000 block of Highway B on a warrant. Johnson was allegedly followed a woman, who drove to the Police Department to report the incident.

On Monday evening, May 23, near 16th and Osage, Sedalia Police arrested Raime E. Bain, 25, of the 2800 block of S. Grand, after officers observed the vehicle run a stop sign. She was a passenger in the truck, and was charged with six counts – possession of marijuana, possession of controlled pills (Schedule 21 & 4), possession of drug paraphernalia, having controlled pills in an improper container and introduction of contraband into a jail. A female jailer conducted a search of Bain and discovered drugs (contraband) inside her body. Bain was held on a 24-hold with a court date to be announced.
