Keisha O. Ford, 17, Sedalia, was arrested for stealing at Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, on Monday evening. According to a report, Ford was allegedly “slap scanning” items in the self-check lane, and didn't pay for certain items in her cart, amounting to $90.45 in stolen groceries. Ford was issued a Municipal summons.

On Monday, Samuel J. McClasky of Sedalia reported that his credit card info was stolen and used to make two $100 purchases. Around 6 p.m., his computer crashed and it then provided him with a customer service support number to call. He then called the number and the other party gained access to his computer and all of his bank and credit card info, according to the report. The suspect had a foreign accent, McClasky said.
