On Thursday, Sedalia Police arrested Kaylea M. Markell, 23, Sedalia, for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, no proof of insurance and on a warrant. Markell was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released on a $50 bond. She has a court date of March 15.


Zachary S. Powell reported the theft of a Sony Action Camera and Live Remote from the Athletic Conditioning Room at Smith-Cotton High School, 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd., on Thursday afternoon. The items were valued at $420.


Monica R. Jackson, Sedalia, reported the theft of several items from her car in the 200 block of S. Moniteau on Thursday morning. The items were valued at $125.


Michelle M. Franklin reported that her wallet was stolen at the new Woods, Supermarket, 1400 S. Limit, on Thursday morning while she was shopping. She left it near a register and when she returned, it was gone.


Robert L. Brandkamp, Jr., 34, Sedalia, was arrested at Probation and Parole, 205 Thompson Road, on Wednesday afternoon on a Warrensburg warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $450 cash or surety bond, with a court date of March 21.


Sedalia Police responded to a report of a man down in the 1900 block of S. Lamine on Wednesday just before 3 p.m. It was later determined that the man died of natural causes.


Steven Sei, 21, Sedalia, was arrested on two warrants – one out of Pettis County and one out of Saline – on Thursday afternoon, His bond was $2,600 cash or surety. He now has a court date of March 2.


Javier Resendez, Jr., 23, was arrested for 3rd degree Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest after Sedalia Police responded to a physical disturbance in the 400 block of W. 4th on Thursday afternoon. Resendez now has a court date of April 12.


Angela F. McKernon, 31, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear-Misdemeanor, after a traffic stop on a Chrysler for no license plates on Wednesday evening. She was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Her bond was set at $10.


Patrick W. Grinstead, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at 14th and Grand on Wednesday night. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. He now has a court date of March 15.


Everett J. Walker, Sedalia, reported that the windshield on his 1995 Chevy truck was damaged sometime between Feb. 10 and 16.


Christopher L. Abney, Sedalia, reported that multiple windows were broken at his residence in the 900 block of E. 10th on Thursday. A BB gun was apparently used in the incident.


Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, reported the theft of $316.59 in merchandise on Jan. 25. Video footage reportedly provided suspect information in the investigation, which is ongoing.


Aaron's, 1200 S. Limit, reported on Wednesday that a customer failed to return property valued at $1,167.12. The company has tried to contact the suspect several times over the past several months.


On Thursday, two victims reported that a white male entered their vehicles in the 900 block of Mitchell Road and stole a cell phone and cigarettes, collectively valued at $330. Security footage reportedly captured the incident and one suspect has been identified, but not yet located.


Anthony M. Akins, 27, and Jennifer L. Brown, 32, both of Sedalia, were arrested on a Parole Violation and transported to the Pettis County Jail on Thursday, where they were held without bond.
