The following Sedalia Police reports are from the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

A Woman Reports She Was the Victim Of a Scam

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was the victim of a scam. According to the police report, suspects sent the victim checks with instructions to cash the checks, keep a small amount for herself and send the rest back to the suspect via Western Union. The victim fell for the scam between Feb. 7 and Feb. 19, and the bank cashed one of the checks.

Numerous Thefts Reported To Sedalia Police

A man in the 600 Block of East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that over $1,095 worth of metal and HVAC equipment was stolen from his backyard on Feb. 17, between 1 and 6 p.m.

Last night (Feb. 19), a man reported a burglary to Sedalia Police. A television, iPad, laptop and cell phone, all valued at $650, were stolen.

A man in the 100 Block of North Grand reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his vehicle on the night of Feb. 17 and stole the vehicle registration and insurance card.

Sedalia Police Investigate Property Damage

A man in the 700 Block of East 18th reported to Sedalia Police that there were vehicles circling the neighborhood. The victim told Sedalia Police that several subjects had thrown rocks at his truck, causing $350 in damages.

Last night (Feb. 19), Sedalia Police went to the 400 Block of Albright Court on a report of a hit-and-run accident. A vehicle collided with the victim's vehicle and left the scene. The rear driver side of the vehicle sustained damage.

Sedalia Police Make Numerous Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Mark Dean for a warrant for fraud and insufficient funds, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Elijah Wilson for being a fugitive from justice from Florida.

Sedalia Police arrested Patrick Barkwell for driving while revoked

Sedalia Police arrested Jason Busker for driving while suspended.
