Sedalia Police Use TASER to Subdue Suspect

Yesterday (Feb. 5), Sedalia Police went to the 300 Block of Scott Joplin Court to investigate a report of an assault with a knife. The suspect refused to comply with officers when they arrived. Sedalia Police ordered the suspect to stop resisting and he refused. Sedalia Police used a TASER to subdue the suspect. Willie Carter was arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest.

Sedalia Police Assist With Juvenile

Sedalia Police went the 400 Block of West 4th to assist a male juvenile who reportedly was having suicidal and homicidal thoughts. The juvenile was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further evaluation and treatment.

Counterfeit Money Reported in Sedalia

Sedalia Police received a report that a counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Breaktime at 318 West Broadway yesterday (Feb. 5).

Several Thefts Reported In Area

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone took his trailer from the parking lot of the business in the 3600 Block of South Limit.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that four tires had been damaged on a trailer parked near his business in the 1600 Block of South Harrison between Jan. 18 and Feb. 5.

Sedalia Police Make Several Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Jeremiah Mullins for a failure to appear on a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $500.

Sedalia Police arrested Tyler Evans for failure to appear for stealing, bond set at $150 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Kenneth Moore for stealing an Xbox video game system from Walmart.

Sedalia Police arrested Toni Kezler for driving while suspended.

A Compaq laptop computer was found in the area of South Grand and West 14th.
