The Sedalia Post Office will host a Passport Fair this weekend.

The Passport Fair is scheduled for Saturday, February 10. The Post Office will have extra staff on hand and extended hours for anyone who would like to apply for a passport.

The Passport Fair will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Sedalia Post Office is located at 405 E. 5th Street.

Applicants must provide an 'Application for Passport” Form DS-11. The form can be downloaded from the USPS website, usps.com/passport for completion before you arrive at the post office. The form will also be available at the passport fair.

Other information that applicants will need, including infants, is proof of U.S. citizenship: a previous U.S. passport or a certified birth certificate issued by a city, county or state, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, a Certification of Birth, a Naturalization Certificate, or a Certificate of Citizenship. A picture ID is also required.

The application cost for a passport book is $110 and a $25.00 execution fee. The application cost for a passport card is $30.00. More information on prices can be found here.

The Post Office recommends applying for a passport as early as possible - at least 2 months or earlier before a departure - to avoid any extra costs involved in expediting your application.
