Six area senior centers will host 'Medicare 101 presentations' this month, including one in Sedalia.

According to a press release from Care Connection for Aging Services, the hour-long presentations are geared toward people who are preparing to enroll in Medicare or recently enrolled in the program – whether they plan to continue working or to retire.

The sessions will begin at noon.

Participants have the opportunity to learn about Medicare’s benefits, premiums, deductibles, and copayments, as well as the differences in Parts A, B, C, and D.

Care Connection says that lunch will be available to people who are 60 and older, for a small contribution. Lunch will also be available, for the cost of the meal, to those younger than 60.
