According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, the Sedalia Police Department STING unit served a search warrant at 606 S. Osage Sedalia Missouri at approximately 5:06 a.m. this morning (May 9) along with other officers and agencies including the Missouri Highway Patrol, Pettis County Sheriff and Johnson County Sheriff. Upon arrival, the occupants of the residence were secured. A search of the residence revealed approximately one pound of methamphetamine, $18,572.00 in cash, a handgun and drug packaging supplies.

After speaking with the occupants, Angel Cardenas, 23, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Cardenas was charged with drug trafficking, manufacturing a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
