Sedalia STING Unit Makes Four Arrests In Early Morning Search Warrant

The Sedalia STING Unit arrested 25-year-old Laura Martin, 27-year-old Derek Hughes, 40-year-old Robert Lynch and 49-year-old Jeff Jones after a drug related search warrant was served yesterday morning (Nov. 20).

The Sedalia STING Unit went to 537 East 4th Street and the K9 Unit allerted detectives and the Criminal Investigations Bureau of a narcotic odor. The search found methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled prescription medications and drug paraphernalia.

Martin, Hughes, Lynch and Jones were all arrested. Hughes and Martin face charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia; Lynch faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited firearm; and Jones faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled prescription medications and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Martin, Hughes and Lynch were transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. Their bonds and court dates are to be determined and Jones was released from the scene pending state charges.
