At 5:16 a.m Wednesday morning (Feb. 12), detectives and officers with the Sedalia Police Department served a no-knock drug-related search warrant at 2429 North Woodlawn Dr. A press release states officers forced entry to the residence and arrested three suspects located inside. Arrested at the scene was 44-year-old James S. Lees, 43-year-old Niko W. Wooldridge of the residence, along with 41-year-old Melissa Stout of Sedalia. All three suspects were transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Lees faces felony charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute within 2000 feet of a school and possession of methamphetamine, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges being sought on Wooldridge are possession of a controlled substance (prescription medication), a felony. Wooldridge was also arrested on a Bates County warrant for child neglect with a bond of $1000. Melissa L Stout faces felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance (prescription medication), as well as misdemeanor charges of  possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
