Sedalia Woman Dies In An Apartment Fire

54-year-old Dorothy Waller died yesterday morning (August 9) after a fire at an apartment fire at 1008 South Massachusetts.

The Sedalia Fire Department and Police Department found smoke coming from inside the apartment fire at 3:22 Sunday morning. A man was found incapacitated and was carried out. The man alerted the firefighters that Waller was still trapped inside. The Sedalia Fire Department tried to get back inside, but could not due to the heavy smoke and flames.

Waller was pronounced dead by the Pettis County Coroner.
