A Master Gardener program has been planned for this spring in Pettis County.

Classes will be a series of ten class sessions on February 18, 20, 25, 27 and March 4, 6, 11, 13, 18 and 20.  Classes will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  The program is open to adults of all ages who are interested in learning more about gardening and sharing their knowledge.  Deadline for registration is February 15 with a registration fee of $100.   Partial scholarships are available based on need.  For more information, contact 827-0591

The Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri present An Evening of Heart and Hope.

This will take place on Feburary 16 at the MEC Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  The Social Time/Silent Auction will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and then the live auction starts after.  For complete information or tickets, check out bgckids.com or follow them on Facebook.

The Stover Fair Board is hosting an All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the American Legion Building in Stover.
Buffet includes: Biscuits and Gravy, Sausage, Bacon, Hashbrowns, Scrambled Eggs, Variety of Pastries, Coffee and Juice. Only $5.00 per person. Proceeds will go toward the 2013 Stover Fair.  For more information, call (573)377-4664 or find Stover Fair on facebook.

State Fair Community College will again host one of Missouri’s annual “FAFSA Frenzy” events Feb. 17 to help college-bound students apply for financial aid.

The free workshop will be held from 2-4 p.m. in Fielding Technical Center Room 226 on the Sedalia campus. An inclement weather back-up date has been set for Feb. 24. FAFSA Frenzy, a program of College Goal Sunday (CGS), offers free help to prospective and current students and parents in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the first step in applying for federal financial aid and many state programs. Financial aid professionals will be on hand to assist families with the FAFSA process. Families will be able to complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA on site and obtain pertinent information. Attendees should bring their 2012 federal income tax forms.

The St Paul's Lutheran Church will have a Community Baby Shower.

Do you have a new baby in the family? Let us celebrate with you! Come to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sedalia on Sunday, February 17 at 3 pm. We’ll play new baby games, have gifts for you and your baby and then enjoy some light refreshments. We want to celebrate with your family.
