If you're looking for something to do over the next couple of days, we here at the station have some suggestions!

The American Legion Post 642 will have a New Year’s Eve Party.

It’ll be at 2016 West Main, Sedalia.  The JC Outlaws will be there from 8 to 12 p.m.  It’s a cost of $5 a person and includes snacks, party favors, and champagne.  There will be designated drivers.

The Care Connection for Aging Services is looking for volunteers.

They are asking for anyone with experience in helping people or people who have worked for businesses that have provided meals to the public.  If you want to get out of the house on occasion and enjoy talking to people, they ask if you would consider making a difference at the Senior Center.  They need home delivered meal drivers, home delivered meal helpers, receptionists, beverage bartenders, dish washers, cooler carriers, event helpers, piano players and so on.  There is always a need.  For more information, call Courtney Anstine at 826-0713 or email canstine@goaging.org

Story Time Book Buddies at the Boonslick Regional Library will continue.

The programs will include story books, fingerplays, songs, creative movement, holiday parties, art activities and more.  Programs for 2-year-olds will be on Mondays at 10 a.m.  Programs for 3 to 5-year-olds will be on Thursdays at 10 a.m.  Programs are held in the meeting room.  Stop by the library to sign up or call 827-READ.  A Boonslick library card is required.
