Here's a look at what's going on in our area this weekend. The Shrine Club of Sedalia will have their monthly breakfast.

It’s open to the public and held at 1375 Elm Hills blvd.  It’ll happen on Saturday, November 1 from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.  They’ll serve eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, juice, milk or coffee for $6.  For to go orders, call 660-281-3619 or 826-6171.

The First Strong Tower Love Run/Walk will be held to benefit Haiti’s orphans.

It’ll take place on Saturday, November 1, starting at the Celebration Center, 1701 West 32nd street at 8:00 a.m.  Registration fee is $20 or $30 to Run/walk in honor of one of the girls in care.  You can register online at www.strongtowerorphanage.com or you can pick up a registration form at Total Fitness Gym, Hibbetts, First Christian Church, Pummill’s Sporting Goods, Brian’s Gym or the First Christian Church Celebration Center.

The Sedalia Rails Train Show will be November 1.

It’ll be held in the Liberty Park Convention Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  You can buy, sell, swap model trains and railroad antiques, operating layouts.  They will have train rides, door prizes and food.  Admission is $4 or $3 with a non perishable food item.  Children under 12 are free admission.  For information about table rental or any other questions, call 660-525-1741.

The Our Savior Lutheran Church will host a Harvest Festival.

Our Savior Lutheran Church’s Harvest Festival, will be held November 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Country Store opens at 9 am. All proceeds will benefit missions and church maintenance. Five dollars for ages 6 and up, kids 5 and under are free!

The Eldorado UMC Fall inner will be on November 1.

It’ll take place at the church, 10405 Eldorado Road in Green Ridge.  They’ll start at 4:00 p.m.  and will have live music while you wait.  They’ll serve Brisket, Ham, Potatoes, Salad, Green Beans, Corn, Rolls and Cherry, Peach, Apple and Blackberry Cobblers for a free will donation.  For information call Pastor Glenda Dethloff at 816-678-6114 or Carla at 660-202-0497.

The Lamine Community Club will hold their annual Pie Supper.

It’ll be held at the Community Building at the intersection of Highway JJ and Swinging Bridge Drive, about 2.5 miles northwest of Clifton City.  The kitchen will open at 5:30 and the pie auction begins at 7:00 p.m.

The Smith Cotton Idol will be on November 1.

It’ll be held at the Heckart Performing Arts Center for a $5 admission.  The show will start at 7:00 p.m. and feature the Center Stage Academy.  Proceeds will go to the Smith Cotton Choral Society.
