On Monday (Aug 13), Sedalia Police took a theft report that occurred in the 1700 block of S. Ohio Ave. The victim said 17 pills had been stolen from her purse. One suspect was questioned but no probable-cause has been developed to seek charges, according to a report from the SPD.


On Sunday (Aug 12), a victim reported to Sedalia Police that someone unlawfully entered her residence in the 1200 block of S. Osage Ave, assaulted her, and stole a purse. The purse contained a wallet, misc paperwork, driver's license and approximately $180. There is no suspect information at this time.


On Sunday (Aug 12), Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 700 block of E. 10th Street. A brown double hammock with an arch stand was reportedly taken from the backyard of a residence. The value is placed at approximately $400. At this time, there are no suspects.


On August 8, Sedalia Police took a report of Stealing and Fraudulent use of a Credit Device in the 1800 block of S. Vermont Ave. According to a report, someone entered the victim's locked vehicle and stole a wallet which contained a credit card. The card was used in several fraudulent purchases. No other details were available in the report.
