The weekend is looking to be on the wet side, according to the National Weather Service predictions. Numerous thunderstorms are expected to affect the region on Saturday and Sunday. The storms on Saturday are not expected to become severe, but heavy rainfall is possible. A few stronger storms are possible on Sunday.

Sedalia/Pettis County Emergency Management Director, David Clippert, said we are on the fringe of some possible severe weather this weekend.

"We are still in the Slight Risk (15% Risk) area for severe weather on Sunday," said David Clippert. " I marked Pettis County with a red star and we are right on the very edge of the severe weather risk. The timing on this looks to be in the mid-afternoon hours. Much of the severe weather risk will depend on when the rain stops on Sunday and if we then end up with a few hours of sunshine to heat things up a little."

If you're looking to do something indoors with the possibility of rain, be sure to check out Kidabaloo at the Ag Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
