State Fair Community College Roadrunners head basketball coach Matt Brown has announced that Maurice Murray, a 6’6” guard/forward, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for SFCC this fall.

Murray played basketball at Timber Creek Regional High School in Sicklerville, New Jersey, for head coach Richard Bolds.

As a senior, Murray averaged per game 28.6 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, and three steals. He is the all-time leading scorer for Timber Creek, scoring 1,500 points. He earned Group Three Player of the Year as a senior and earned First Team All-South Jersey four times. He was a three-time Scholastic Play-By-Play Most Valuable Player.

“Maurice is a long and athletic player who is versatile,” said Brown. “He is a good shooter, can guard multiple positions and creates matchup problems for opponents on the offensive end. The common thread among all the student-athletes we are bringing to SFCC is that they are good people, and that describes the type of person Maurice is.”
