SEDALIA—State Fair Community College Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Thomas has announced the first three student athletes in the 2015-2016 recruiting class who will take the court for SFCC in the fall.

Keari Brown is a 6-8 forward from West Memphis, Arkansas. Brown played high school basketball at West Memphis Christian School for Head Coach Tabathia Bermucci and earned All-District honors. He began his college career redshirting on the football team at Southeast Missouri State University.

“He is a long player who can run and finish,” said Thomas. “He also can play above the rim and will help us on the interior by providing some rebounding and defense. Hopefully Keari will strengthen our offense inside the paint.”

Willie Jimerson Jr. is a 5-10 guard from New Madrid County Central High School in New Madrid, Missouri, where he played for Head Coach Travis Day. As a senior, Jimerson averaged 24 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists per game. He earned All-State, All-Conference and All-District honors and was named the Missouri Class 3 Player of the Year by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. He also was named to the USA Today All-Missouri Second Team.

“He is a great athlete who will impact our program on both ends of the floor,” said Thomas. “He is a good on-the-ball defender. He can score but is also very unselfish and can make plays for teammates.”

Ronnie Rousseau is a 5-10 guard from Cincinnati, Ohio. He played high school basketball at Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati and transferred to SFCC after the fall 2014 semester from Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana.

Rousseau averaged 25 points and eight assists a game as a senior. He was ranked the number one player in Cincinnati and the number three player in Ohio his senior year. Rousseau was the number one junior college recruit in Ohio and the number 14 junior college recruit in the country after senior year.

“He can really shoot the basketball,” said Thomas. “He is a very gifted guard with a high basketball IQ. We expect him to provide a lot of leadership. He works hard and takes a lot of pride in his performance.”
