According to a press release from State Fair Community College, the 2016 Roadrunners and Lady Roadrunners soccer seasons have officially closed with the announcement of postseason awards presented by Region 16 and the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC). Region and conference coaches voted on all the awards.

Roadrunners freshman forward Mako Makoanyane earned first-team recognition from both Region 16 and the MCCAC. Makoanyane started in nine matches and scored the game-winning goal against Missouri Valley junior varsity on September 11th.

Freshman midfielders Logan Horn and Jacob Bolger were named second-team all-conference. Horn started in nine matches and played in 10. He notched a team-high three assists for the season. Bolger started in 10 and played 11 matches.

The Roadrunners finished the first season since the resumption of the program with a 3-12-1 record.

The Lady Roadrunners soccer team was represented on the first-team All-Region 16 by midfielder Maddie Davidson. Defender Sarah Garcia and goalkeeper Kylie King earned second-team All-Region 16 honors. The Lady Roadrunners finished the inaugural season of their program 3-8-2. There are not enough women’s soccer teams to form a conference for the Lady Roadrunners.
