State Fair Community College Spirit Squad head coach Dana Page has announced the addition of 10 student-athletes who will join the 2017-2018 Spirit Squad.

“I’m excited about our new recruits who will join three returning squad members,” said Page. “They have talent, experience and strong academics. Three of them have competed nationally at Universal Cheerleaders Association competitions and bring stunt experience."

Dallas Carver, a current SFCC student, attended Marshall High School. She is studying psychology.

“Dallas was a dancer last year and is transferring to the Spirit Squad,” said Page. “She has strength and good basing technique.”

Breanna Dothage, a current SFCC student, attended La Monte High School. She is majoring in Elementary Education.

“Breanna is a great back spot who brings experience and strength,” said Page.
Ellyen Hayden, from Fort Zumalt East High School, cheered for Coach Lindsey Weiser. She plans to major in Radiology.

Tatem Marbut is from Aurora High School and cheered for Coach KayLynn Pennell. She plans to major in in Radiology.

“Tatem has competition experience and is a talented dancer,” said Page.

Montana Miller is from Oak Grove High School and cheered for Coaches Tara Smith and Amanda Smith. She plans to major in Dental Hygiene.

“Montana has what it takes to cheer at the college level,” said Page. “She has great jumps, motions and hopes to improve her tumbling skills."

Abra Raybourn and Abigail Stahlke are from Odessa High School. They both cheered for Coach Amy Fagan. Raybourn is a Nursing major, and Stahlke is a Business major.

“Abra and Abigail have participated on a competition squad and attended national competitions,” said Page. “They bring stunt talent and will be assets to the squad."

Alexis Winfrey is from Sweet Springs High School and cheered for Coaches Renee Bridges and Ashley Brant. She plans to major in Elementary Education.

“Alexis is a good all-around cheerleader who can do jumps,” said Page. “We talked to her at our camp last summer, and she is excited to come to SFCC."

Madison Wood is from Knob Noster High School and cheered for Coaches Jestine Lawler and Ja’Nequia King. She is an Elementary Education major.

“Madison is strong,” said Page. “She is versatile as a base and a flyer."

Coltin Wright, a current SFCC student, attended Versailles High School and is a Criminal Justice major.

“Coltin will add strength and variety to our stunts,” said Page. “He cheered at Versailles and will be a good base and asset to our squad."

Tori Karigan will return as the squad captain. She is from La Monte and an Elementary Education major.

“Tori will be a great leader,” said Page. “She likes to put together stunts and is comfortable teaching cheer and dance routines."

Kaitlyn Lovell, a returning member, is from Lakeland High School and a Business major.

“Kaitlyn is a good cheerleader,” said Page. “She is diligently strength training, which will add to the success of our stunts."

Macie Yearout, the co-captain, is from Lincoln High School and plans to transfer to become an athletic trainer.

“Macie is a leader and an all-around cheerleader,” said Page.

The squad will attend a National Cheerleaders Association Camp in July in Maryville.

“We look forward to taking this group to camp and getting them ready for fall,” said Page. “Camp is always challenging because we compete with bigger schools. Several of our cheerleaders have the potential to cheer at the next level."
