State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce has announced a schedule of professional and personal enrichment courses for the fall.

Online courses include business communications, computer training, human resources, LEED Green Workplace, media marketing, quality assurance, nonprofit management, and more.

On-ground classes beginning in August include:

Motorcycle Basic Rider Course will meet Aug. 24-26 on the Sedalia campus. The class meets from 6-10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The course is geared for beginning or re-entry riders and has a list of requirements. Cost is $199; instructor is Chuck Buck, certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program. The next course will be held Sept. 28-30.
Double Wedding Ring Quilt class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 29, Sept. 12, 19 and Oct. 3 in Davis Multipurpose Center, Room 119. This class is for advanced beginners and seasoned quilters. Participants will use a modernized pattern and the Quick Curve Ruler to facilitate assembling and sewing the pieces. The first meeting will be 90 minutes and will cover the supply list and fabrics required for the project, so note-taking materials are needed; homework will be required. The remaining three sessions will last three hours each using personal sewing machines. Do not purchase fabric or supplies until after the first class. Cost is $69; Rebecca Schnakenberg is the instructor.

Beginning Country Line Dance will meet from 7-9 p.m. Thursdays for seven weeks beginning Aug. 30 in Hopkins Student Center, Room 714. This course is for people who like to dance but may not have a partner. Students will learn Electric Slide, Red Solo Scuff, Firecracker, Moves like Jagger, and other dances. Cost is $59; Mary Donnell-Brown is the instructor.
