Sacred Heart soccer ended their regular season and six-game winning streak with a 7-0 loss to Southern Boone Thursday night at home.

The talented Southern Boone team repeatedly exposed the Gremlin’s lack of defensive marking and scored three first-half goals.

The Gremlins only managed two shots on goal the second half and did little to alleviate the pressure put on the defense.

Sacred Heart (12-9) now faces the difficult task of regrouping before the opening round of districts Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at Green Ridge against St. Paul Lutheran (9-6).

Green Ridge and La Monte play Monday night at 6 p.m.
