Students in Carol Cusick's second grade class and Hilliary Owens' mixed-age class at Skyline Elementary School recently shared their published writings with each other.

Students worked on the pieces for three weeks, learning about non-fiction text features such as chapters, heading and bold words. Students wrote informational books on a topic they were experts on.

These ranged from their families, holidays and video games. Students read their writings to each other and then gave each other compliments on their writings.
