Shirley Ann Wilson Finlay, 84, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 10, 1931, in Sedalia, daughter of John Porter and Beulah G. Latimer Morton. On March 14, 1952, in Sedalia, she married John W. "Bill" Wilson, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1997. She later married Bill Finlay, who also preceded her in death.

Shirley was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church and formerly Pettis Chapter 279 Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years at Third National Bank. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, swimming and sun bathing, exercising, square dancing, traveling, and especially loved being around her children and grandchildren, listening to them talk and laugh.

Surviving are six children: Mike Wilson, of California, MO, Terry Bohon (Stan), of Sedalia, Debbie Kettle (Barry), of Columbia, Tina Thomas (Dwayne), of Sedalia, Deanna Carson (Matt), of California, MO, and John Wilson (Missy), of Kansas City; eleven grandchildren: Carmen Kraus, Kristy Kurtz, Chad Wimer, Stacie Walter, Trenton Thomas, Savannah Sommers, KayleyAnna Carson, Carlye Carson, Mattie Carson, Whitney Wilson and Nicolas Wilson; a step-grandson, Jake Kettle; ten great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Dean Morton, of Kansas City, and Don Morton, of Sedalia; and two sisters: Nadine Durrill, of Odessa, and Jerry Heap, of Taylor TX.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mandy Thomas; and three brothers, Porter Morton, Wayne Morton and Melvin Morton.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 3, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Brenda Corbett officiating.

Casket bearers will be Will Kraus, Chad Wimer, Trenton Thomas, Tylor Kraus, Nicolas Wilson and Tannor Kraus.

Honorary bearers will be Steve Durrill, Jeff Durrill and Todd Kurtz.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, at Heckart Funeral Home.
