Shirley Elizabeth Brown, 62

Shirley Elizabeth Brown age 62 of Otterville died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home after a battle with cancer for the past three years.

She was born on October 11, 1949 in Sedalia daughter of Bessie Holder and her stepfather James Finis Vinyard. She was married on February 14, 1969 in Sedalia to Ernest E. Brown and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2009.

Shirley graduated from Sunnydale Academy in Centraila, Missouri. She was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed animals especially her two dogs (Chopper and Rex). She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter; Sheila Perkins and her husband Paul of Otterville, one sister; Mary Iliff of Sedalia, three brothers; Jim Vinyard, Roger Vinyard, Kenneth Vinyard all of Sedalia, two grandsons; Travis Perkins and Tyler Perkins. She was preceded in death by her mother; Bessie Vinyard, stepfather; James Vinyard, her husband; Ernest E. Brown.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Hayworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Vinyard, Kenneth Vinyard, Tyler Perkins, Travis Perkins, William Vinyard, Tom Iliff.
