UPDATE: The 2013 Sedalia Christmas Parade and Jingle Jog has been cancelled due to the hazardous weather forecast.

I'm sure most of you know that the Sedalia Christmas Parade was originally scheduled for Dec 7. However, due to anticipated cold temperatures the parade was delayed a week to the 14th. But then the forecast called for ice and 1-3 inches of snow, so the parade was again rescheduled for Dec 21.

I'm kind of bummed about it because this was going to be my first Sedalia Christmas Parade and I was supposed to MC the event, which I was really looking forward to. Now that it's been delayed two weeks, I'll be out of the state and unable to attend. I know a lot of people didn't agree with the parade cancellations since it throws a monkey wrench in their plans. There are also a lot of people who agree that delaying the parade was indeed the best thing to do.

What side of the fence are you on? Do you think rescheduling the parade two separate times was the right call, or do you think it should have just gone on anyway as scheduled? Let us know in our poll below!
