The Smith-Cotton freshman boys basketball team closed its season with a 12-3 record after winning its finale over O'Hara, 67-37, at home on Monday night.
Brett Grupe led the Tigers with 20 points and 3 steals. He was followed by Chris Staten with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Christian Finley added 12 points, 2 steals and 3 blocks.

Tyler Williams had 8 points and 8 rebounds. Keith Hawkins contributed 4 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals.

The Tigers led 31-24 at halftime and built on their lead in the second half. Coach Jeremiah Baruxen said, "Great ball pressure led to turnovers and turned into easy baskets on the offensive end. I'm super proud of the boys for the way they worked this season."

The Tigers won the B game as well, 72-35. Cooper Rea led the Tigers with 21 points, followed by Noah Marshall with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Drake Peterson added 10 points.
