Smith-Cotton High School freshmen on Thursday participated in a Day of Service.

The students were divided into teams to take on projects including cleaning up Liberty Park, writing thank-you letters to veterans, making blankets for families in crisis and visiting kindergartners for reading and crafts. Freshmen math teacher Lensie Means said the day “gives students the opportunity to connect with others in their community.”
