After last week's two and half hour plus rain delay and a 7-6 win, the Tigers are ready for a forecasted rain-free night of football in Marshall.

It was a long night last Friday as Coach Charlie Mcfail debuted his 2017 Smith-Cotton Tigers as head coach. As halftime ended and S-C trailing 6-0, both teams headed towards their respective locker rooms thinking they would be out in approximately 15 minutes to another half of football.

After the the lengthy rain delay, the Tigers scored their only touchdown, added on the extra point and held on for their first win of the new season. The Tigers are hoping to pick up win number two in their game in Marshall against the Owls.

Marshall is coming off a 30-0 home loss to Chillicothe. Last year in the matchup between Sedalia and Marshall, the Tigers rolled to 38-0 season home opener win gaining 326 yards on 46 carries.
