Tough night for Smith-Cotton Girls Basketball, as the Lady Tigers lost 52-51 to Warrensburg on a last-second shot in the third place game of the Marshall Tournament.

The game was tied 21-21 at the half and neither team held a lead of more than four points during the course of the game.

"It was a back-and-forth game and it really came down to free throws in the fourth quarter," said S-C head coach Jonathan Tester. "We fought and battled all game and played well on the defensive end."

S-C was led by Haley Wiskur, who had 15 points. Sophie Martin had 12 and Darby Christian added 8. Sadie Misner led Warrensburg with 22 points.

S-C (1-3) plays Friday at Nevada.
