The cadets toured the facility, then met and interacted with the veterans while they ate dinner. JROTC Senior Army Instructor Lt. Col. (Ret.) Harry Cunningham informed cadets that they are the last generation to meet World War II veterans and that they were fortunate to have the opportunity.

The day was ended by saying goodbye and thanking the veterans for their service and sacrifices.

Cadet Master Sgt. Hannah Scafe said: “These experiences make me see that these are real people with real stories and I’m so grateful to meet them and share the stories with them. It’s a truly eye-opening experience.”
